Muzz, the world’s largest Muslim dating and marriage app, is hiring a Android Engineer in London. Join our growing in-house Android team to build a globally used product with equity and a hybrid working model.

Based in the London region, you’ll be in the office Tue–Thu and can work remotely within Europe. We value fast execution, innovation, and ownership in a profitable start-up backed by Y Combinator.

Qualifications

• 2+ years creating cutting-edge Android apps in Kotlin.
• Experience with caching and responsive app design.
• Ability to iterate quickly on designs across features.
• Familiar with Scrum/Kanban and agile methodologies.
• Developing and maintaining Android apps from requirements to Google Play.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications from requirements to the Google Play Store.
• Collaborate with design and backend teams to ship features.
• Write tests and improve app performance and reliability.
• Iterate quickly on UI/UX from feedback and data.

Aldgate, London, Hybrid (3 Days in office) or Remote (UK, Europe)

London: £41,000 - £85,000 + equity; Remote within Europe: £37,000 - £70,000 + equity

Muzz is the world’s largest Muslim dating and marriage app. We’ve got over 15 million members and have helped more than 800,000 couples get married. We’re on our way to becoming the first $1 billion Muslim tech brand – but we need your help!

For candidates based within London region, this role requires you to be in our London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. UK based candidates can work remotely, with the requirement to come to the office on last Thursday of each month.

Please note: You must be currently located in UK or Europe AND be able to work without visa sponsorship. We are not sponsoring a work visa for this role.

• 2+ years creating cutting edge Android apps in Kotlin


• Strong grasp of Coroutines


• Experience with caching


• To be able to iterate quickly on designs across multiple feature areas


• Working knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban


• Developing and maintaining Android applications from requirements to the Google Play Store


• Willing to learn new skills and really get stuck in
