The Role

As a Mid-Market Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for retaining and growing revenue across a defined customer base, while identifying and securing new business opportunities. You’ll promote the full TalkTalk Business portfolio, build strong client relationships from C-level down, and work collaboratively across teams to deliver value and drive customer success.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-market accounts, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular strategy and review meetings to identify opportunities and strengthen engagement.
  • Achieve revenue and Total Contract Value (TCV) targets through upselling, cross-selling, and new business development.
  • Convert leads into qualified opportunities and close deals through effective pipeline management.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer projects and requirements, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Pre-Sales, Commercial, Customer Services) to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide reliable sales forecasts.
  • Support marketing initiatives and follow up on campaigns to maximise engagement.
  • Participate in training and self-development to stay current with products and market trends.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and positive outcomes.

Skills and experience we are looking for

  • Experience in telecommunications and account management, with a strong understanding of commercial drivers.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies such as SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, and hosted telephony is advantageous.
  • Ability to clearly communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to forecast accurately and manage a robust sales pipeline.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, sharing knowledge and supporting team success.
  • Adaptability to new systems, processes, and a dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-first approach.

How you will work
