We are seeking a strategic and customer-oriented sales professional to join our Mid-Market Account Executive team at LaunchDarkly. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, collaborating with sales leadership, solutions engineers, and various cross-functional teams to assist mid-market organizations in evaluating, purchasing, and adopting LaunchDarkly’s platform. If you excel in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment and have a proven track record of closing mid-market deals, we would love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
- Proactively generate and manage outbound pipeline opportunities within mid-market accounts, specifically targeting organizations with up to 5,000 employees.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with mid-market clients, acting as their primary contact.
- Create and implement strategic plans to enhance growth and customer engagement within your assigned territory.
- Facilitate the successful adoption of LaunchDarkly’s platform by utilizing account management best practices and collaborating with engineering, customer success, and support teams.
- Communicate LaunchDarklyâs value proposition effectively to key stakeholders, including executives at the VP and C-suite levels, to enhance brand awareness and influence decision-making.
- Work closely with your Solutions Engineer to provide strategic insights that align with customer objectives, ensuring long-term success.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including customer success, support, marketing, and revenue operations, to meet customer needs efficiently.
- Maintain high levels of forecasting accuracy and consistency to support business growth and predictability.
About You
- A minimum of 3 years of proven success in a closing sales role within a SaaS company, consistently exceeding sales targets and earning recognition such as Presidentâs Club or equivalent awards.
- Expertise in consultative selling, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles using a value-driven approach.
- Demonstrated success in expanding accounts across different business units through a ‘land and expand’ strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of the mid-market sector and experience selling to mid-market companies.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message for effective deal qualification and communication.
- Strong self-starter mentality, with a high level of motivation and initiative.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve challenges while exceeding sales goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
