Qualifications

  • Experience in animation production with a focus on lighting and compositing.

Job description

We are on the lookout for a talented and keen Mid Lighting and Compositing artist for one of our shows.

Our L&C artists are masters of mood, light, and detail. Their day-to-day focuses include tailored render layers, artful colour grading, and meeting production deadlines, all while aligning with the briefs from our Directors and Clients. They are also great collaborators, working as a team to share and develop their technical and artistic skills to deliver high-quality content for our audiences.

The successful candidate will need to be based in the UK, as they will be required to come into our London studio at least 2 days a week in a hybrid working model. Currently, we are unable to consider VISA sponsorship.

Day to Day:
  1. Working as part of a team of lighting and compositing artists, with regular communication between your Team Lead and Director.
  2. Managing your shots and your time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  3. Ensuring your work communicates clearly from blocking through to final animation.
  4. Acting on notes and feedback from your Directors.
About You
Must Have:
  • Animation production experience
  • Knowledge of atmospheric lighting, colour grading, and denoising render
  • Knowledge of Nuke as a tool to composite render layers
  • Positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge and skills with team members
  • Ability to receive feedback and respond well to direction
  • Enjoy being a team player and a great collaborator
  • Ability to work independently and reliably
  • Creative problem-solving skills
Bonus Points:
  • Knowledge of Python scripting
