Job summary

LaraBench is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join the Blackpool-based Development team. The role offers hybrid work with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, and involves transforming large datasets into reliable, high-quality applications.

You will work with PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and modern JS frameworks to design, develop, and improve features, APIs and data-driven systems.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing PHP applications.
• Good knowledge of Laravel and/or Symfony.
• Strong experience with MySQL.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and/or Alpine.js / Vue.js.
• Experience using Git and modern development practices.
• Methodical troubleshooting and writing clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony.
• Work with MySQL and large, complex datasets.
• Design and develop new features and functionality.
• Build interfaces using HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript.
• Work with JavaScript technologies like Alpine.js and Vue.js.
• Integrate APIs and various data sources.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

We're working with an established and growing technology business that is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join its Development team in Blackpool.

You'll be working with large and varied datasets, solving interesting technical challenges and developing reliable systems that transform complex information into valuable insights.

• Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony
• Working with MySQL and large, complex datasets
• Designing and developing new features and functionality
• Building intuitive and engaging interfaces using HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript
• Working with JavaScript technologies such as Alpine.js and Vue.js
• Integrating APIs and working with a variety of data sources
• Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical and data-related issues
• Improving application performance, reliability and scalability
• Working with Git and modern development workflows

You’ll ideally have:

Experience working with large datasets, analytics platforms, APIs or data-heavy applications would be highly advantageous.

• £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
