Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Core Java Developer to join a well-known trading firm. No experience in finance is needed; finance isn’t what this firm does, tech is.

Our client is an innovative, tech-driven trading (Equities and ETFs) company with a pioneering new concept for the financial markets, utilizing their big data technology platform. They have assembled a top team from across the financial markets and are looking to expand to meet high demand from clients. Their trading capital is in the order of multi-millions, not just a small operation.

The role:

This role is suitable for candidates with 3-5 years of Java Development experience. The successful candidate will be a top-tier Java developer (or aspiring) with a passion for solving engineering problems and delivering business functionality. The role involves design and implementation with real input into business offerings. Your work will have a visible impact and help shape the future of the product. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of financial technology.

The environment will be agile, fast-paced, and test-driven. You will be encouraged to evangelize and prototype new technologies and approaches to help shape the evolving architecture.

The successful candidate must be:

• Experienced in Core Java
• Highly motivated
• Delivery-focused and accountable
• Ideally experienced in server-side multi-threaded Java – even if you haven’t been in a large firm, don’t worry.

My client is based in London. Home working is encouraged, but you will need to be able to come to the City if needed.
