Base Pay Range

Location: London
Work Pattern: Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day from home)
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

My client, a prestigious London-based investment firm, is seeking a proactive Mid-Level Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join their highly collaborative tech team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a transformative migration from on-premises infrastructure to Azure Cloud, while also maintaining and enhancing their existing cloud environment.

In this hands-on role, you'll handle a wide variety of tasks, from troubleshooting and automating processes to contributing to network and firewall configurations. Working closely with an experienced Head of Infrastructure and CTO, you'll gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and high-impact projects in a fast-paced, professional environment.

This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of operational responsibilities and opportunities to innovate. It's an ideal position for someone who thrives in a varied and dynamic setting while working as part of a small, tight-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the firm's Azure Cloud environment, ensuring stability and high availability.
• Support the ongoing migration from on-premises infrastructure to Azure Cloud as well as some existing on-prem infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, proactively identifying opportunities to improve systems.
• Automate processes using PowerShell and Terraform.
• Contribute to network and firewall support (including Palo Alto firewalls).
• Manage software updates and deployments.
• Provide occasional VIP and end-user support when needed.

The Essentials

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• A solid understanding of Azure Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of networking principles, with familiarity in managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Experience in financial services or hedge funds is incredibly advantageous.
