Job summary

Hiddenwell is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings, translate concepts into practical drawings, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.

You will maintain drawing registers, reflect design changes, and help ensure drawings meet deadlines and quality standards. A detail-oriented, proactive approach and proficiency with CAD software are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CAD Designer, CAD Technician or similar technical design role.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD software with experience in 2D and/or 3D drawing.
• Ability to interpret technical information, sketches, measurements and design briefs accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving and willingness to learn and improve drawing standards.

Responsibilities

CAD Designer

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | 40 hours per week

About the Role

Hiddenwell is looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a CAD Designer who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings and enjoys working collaboratively to bring design concepts to life. You will play an important role in supporting our projects, translating ideas and technical information into clear, practical drawings that help turn plans into reality.

Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help ensure that drawings are delivered accurately, efficiently and to agreed deadlines, contributing to the successful delivery of projects across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Producing accurate 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings in line with project briefs, specifications and design requirements.
• Translating sketches, concepts, measurements and technical information into detailed drawings.
• Updating drawings to reflect design changes, feedback and project developments.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, designers, consultants, contractors and suppliers to coordinate design information.

• Maintaining organised drawing registers, revision histories and document control systems.
• Supporting the preparation of technical specifications, schedules, layouts and other design documentation.
• Managing your workload effectively to ensure drawings are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
• Identifying opportunities to improve drawing standards, processes and ways of working.

You’ll ideally bring:
