Academics are currently recruiting a Mid-Day Supervisor to work within a primary school in the Caerphilly area on a long-term basis. The role runs 11:30am-1pm, Monday to Friday, providing regular two-hour daily work, with duties including supervising lunchtime, supporting routines, and ensuring safety and positive conduct among pupils.

Ideal candidates will have some experience with children and a flexible, reliable approach, with safeguarding procedures to follow.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising children while they eat their lunch
• Supporting pupils during their lunchtime routines
• Monitoring behaviour and encouraging positive interactions
• Supervising children in the playground during lunchtime
• Ensuring pupils remain safe and following school rules
• Supporting children who may need additional help during lunchtime
• Dealing appropriately with minor incidents and concerns
• Creating a positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment
• Reporting any concerns to the appropriate member of school staff
• Following the school's safeguarding procedures
