Job summary

Muzz in London is seeking an Android engineer to join our in-house team. You will develop and maintain Kotlin-based apps used by millions, implementing modern Android features and performance optimisations.

Requirements include 2+ years building Android apps in Kotlin, strong Coroutines, UI test automation, knowledge of Material Design, and familiarity with Scrum/Kanban. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and iteratively improve across features.

Qualifications

• 2+ years creating cutting edge Android apps in Kotlin.
• Strong grasp of Coroutines.
• Experience with caching.
• Ability to iterate quickly on designs across multiple feature areas.
• Experience with Scrum or Kanban and Agile methodologies.
• Developing and maintaining Android applications from requirements to the Google Play Store.
• Willing to learn and be hands-on.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and proactive attitude.
• UI Test Automation.
• Knowledge of Material Design and new Android developments.
• Familiar with Google IO and Android.
• Experience with threading, animation, video/image manipulation, messaging.

Responsibilities

Location: London hybrid - 3 days Tues, Wed and Thurs in office or Remote within EU

For London hires: £41k - £68k + equity - this is a permanent employee contract

For remote within EU: max salary is £61k - you will also be engaged as a contractor
