Job summary

Muzz, a London-based consumer tech startup, is hiring for an Android engineer experienced in Kotlin to join our in-house Android team. You will build apps used by millions globally, work across features, and iterate designs quickly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The role is London-based with in-office Tuesdays to Thursdays; UK candidates may work remotely with a monthly in-office day. We value curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on contribution to all things Android.

Qualifications

• 2+ years creating cutting edge Android apps in Kotlin.
• Strong grasp of Coroutines.
• Experience with caching and data persistence.
• Ability to iterate quickly on designs across feature areas.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Developing and maintaining Android apps from requirements to the Google Play Store.
• Willing to learn and contribute quickly.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with practical problem solving.
• UI Test Automation.
• Knowledge of Material Design and new Android developments.
• Interest in Google IO and Android trends.
• Experience with threading, animation, media handling.

Muzz is the world’s largest Muslim dating and marriage app. We’ve got over 15 million members and have helped more than 800,000 couples get married. We’re on our way to becoming the first $1 billion Muslim tech brand – but we need your help!

For candidates based within London region, this role requires you to be in our London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. UK based candidates can work remotely, with the requirement to come to the office on last Thursday of each month.

Please note for remote European candidates, you must be based in the EU and max salary is £61k.
