Job summary

Identify Solutions in Swansea area is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to own cyber security across a Microsoft-focused environment. The role involves assessing the estate, closing gaps, and strengthening security posture.

You will collaborate with an established infrastructure team and external partners, handling incidents, IAM across Entra ID, and improving defenses with Defender/Sentinel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security experience in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Experience with Defender/XDR, Sentinel or similar SIEM/SOC tools.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, Entra ID, PIM, MFA or SSO.
• Good understanding of Azure and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of cyber security across a Microsoft-focused environment.
• Assess the estate to identify security gaps and harden systems.
• Work with Defender/XDR, EDR and Sentinel to improve detections.
• Support Identity & Access Management across Entra ID (PIM, MFA, SSO).
• Investigate security incidents, vulnerabilities and threats.
• Review tools and controls and recommend improvements.
