Job summary

Kingfisher plc is recruiting for a Microsoft Optimisation Manager on a fixed-term contract (until no later than 01 May 2028). You will own the licensing strategy across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, Copilot and Power Platform, driving cost optimisation and governance with strong data-led analysis.

The role requires collaboration with Finance, Procurement and IT teams, and involves travel between UK sites and Europe.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing programmes, including EA, MCA-E and CSP.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 licensing within a large-scale or enterprise environment.
• Commercial and financial management experience, with a focus on value optimisation.
• Strong analytical skills to generate clear reporting and actionable insights.
• Experience negotiating with software vendors and service providers.
• Ability to translate licensing information into clear business value for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the Microsoft licensing and optimisation strategy across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, Copilot and Power Platform services.
• Drive licence utilisation, cost optimisation and waste reduction through data-led analysis, governance and forecasting.
• Lead Microsoft commercial management activities, including EA, MCA-E and CSP renewals and true-up processes.
• Establish governance forums to promote accountability and financial control across the organisation.
• Develop reporting, dashboards and insights that support investment decisions and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR and IT to improve forecasting and maximise ROI on Microsoft investments.
• Manage relationships with Microsoft and licensing partners to secure maximum value.
