Job summary

Consult seeks an interim Finance Systems Manager/Lead to drive finance delivery for a global retail tech rollout across US, EMEA and APAC. You will bridge front-end retail systems with enterprise ledgers, ensuring robust internal controls and clean audit outcomes.

Based at Leavesden Park, Hertfordshire, this hybrid role requires 3 days on-site. Lead D365 rollout/UAT, monitor SAP interfaces, support SOX controls, and optimize reconciliations with ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• ERP systems experience with Dynamics 365 and SAP interfaces.
• Qualified accountant or strong equivalent in financial systems/controllership.
• Experience authoring and managing finance UAT test scenarios.
• Retail, FMCG, E-commerce, or Attractions sector background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance-side UAT, stress testing, and go-live readiness for D365 retail initiatives.
• Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces from D365 into SAP general ledgers.
• Support SOX/internal controls and collaborate with shared services teams.

The Role

We are hiring an interim Finance Systems Manager / Lead to drive business-side finance delivery for a global retail tech rollout across US, EMEA, and APAC. You will act as the key Finance SME bridging front-end retail systems with enterprise ledgers, ensuring robust internal controls and clean audit outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• D365 Rollout & UAT: Lead finance-side User Acceptance Testing (UAT), stress testing, and go-live readiness for Microsoft Dynamics 365 retail initiatives.
• ERP Data Integration: Monitor and troubleshoot transactional data interfaces flowing from D365 into SAP (R2R) general ledgers.
• Audit & Controllership: Support annual audit activities, manage SOX/internal controls, and collaborate with corporate shared services (including Poland-based teams).
• Process Optimization: Streamline reconciliations, automate manual accounting workarounds, and remediate control gaps.

What We're Looking For

• ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O / Retail) implementations, plus working knowledge of SAP interfaces/R2R.
• Finance Credential: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or strong QBE in financial systems/controllership.
• Testing Track Record: Direct experience authoring and managing finance UAT test scenarios and defect resolution.
• Sector Background: Retail, FMCG, E-commerce, or Attractions experience preferred (or consulting background with relevant retail ERP exposure).
• Commute: Based within commutable distance to Leavesden Park (3 days/week on-site).
