Location: Lichfield, Birmingham – 5 days onsite per week

Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Software Tester to join this established and award-winning distributor. My client is a major player in their field, with an annual turnover of over £200 million. They are well positioned to grow and develop their function.

This is a brand new role where you will support the Senior Software Tester and work alongside the Software Development team on several migration projects over the next 18 months.

My client seeks a skilled Tester with experience in a C# environment, including unit testing. As a Software Tester, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software applications, which operate within a Microsoft C# environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Design, develop, and execute tests for C# applications, including unit, integration, and UI tests
2. Write unit tests using frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest
3. Identify and report defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues
4. Create and maintain test automation frameworks
5. Develop and execute manual test cases for software applications
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with project goals

Requirements:

1. 2+ years of experience in software testing with C#/.NET
2. Strong knowledge of C# programming language and the .NET framework
3. Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, etc.)
4. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Experience with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
