Job summary

Hastings Direct is looking for a Microservices Developer to join their CIO Technology Engineering team in Bexhill-on-Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable Java-based microservices in a commercial environment.

You will collaborate with agile teams, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions while ensuring high code quality. This position offers flexible and hybrid working options, annual performance bonuses, and comprehensive health benefits.

About the Role

As a Microservices Developer within our CIO Technology Engineering team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure and maintainable microservices‑based applications.

You will work closely with senior engineers, architects and cross‑functional scrum teams, participate in agile ceremonies, review code and support junior developers.
