Job summary

Mase Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Field Service Technician – Microscopy for Masters or PhD graduates who want to join a leading microscope manufacturer. You will provide first‑class service, calibration support and on‑site installation across the South Central / Southwest region.

The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training, shadow experienced engineers, and develop a high level of technical expertise in optics and microscopy while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Optics or Microscopy required
• Strong microscopy knowledge and user experience
• Ability to work autonomously
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class service and calibration support across the assigned territory (South Central / Southwest).
• Attend customer sites including academia and research organisations.
• Manage own service cases and diary; calibrate, repair, service and maintain microscopy equipment.
• Provide on-site and remote maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics to board level.
• Develop high level technical expertise within product category.
• Submit accurate and timely service reports.
