Convatec is seeking an experienced Team Lead – Microbiology to lead a 4–6 person team in its Development Laboratories, driving method development and regulatory-aligned microbial testing. You will guide scientists, support product development, and champion quality and CAPA processes.

The role includes collaboration with R&D, Quality, EHS, and project teams, with a focus on advancing microbiology research and preparing for the Manchester R&D hub expansion in late 2027/early 2028.

Formación

• Degree in Microbiology or related discipline required.
• Experience in regulated lab environment with GMP/QMS familiarity.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4-6 microbiology staff.
• Oversee laboratory operations, testing schedules, and resource planning.
• Provide SME guidance across research and development activities.
• Contribute to method development, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Support product development and regulatory submissions with scientific input.
• Drive CAPA investigations, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ qualifications and calibration programs.
• Ensure GLP/GMP compliance and audits.
• Represent microbiology during audits and cross-functional initiatives.
• Contribute to future LIMS implementation and site expansion plans.
