Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with Specialist Portfolio for a permanent Band 6 role with CWMS. The laboratory is based off-site from the hospitals in Bromborough and operates 24/7, performing bacteriology, mycology, serology and molecular diagnostics.

After suitable training, you would be expected to participate in the 24/7 rota.

Qualifikationen

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with Specialist Portfolio or equivalent.
• Willing to rotate through all sections of CWMS.
• Permanent Band 6 role in CWMS.

Aufgaben

• Rotate around sections of the laboratory.
• Specimen reception: receipt and checking of samples.
• Bacteriology: culture, incubation, identification and susceptibility testing.
• Microscopy: examination of clinical specimens.
• Serology: perform routine serological procedures.
