Job summary

A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Lab Technician for their Wokingham site on a contract basis until January 2026. The role involves working safely in a laboratory, following quality procedures, and performing laboratory tasks using specified methodologies. Candidates should have knowledge of GLP/GMP guidelines and preferably an A-level or degree in a scientific discipline. Shifts are Thursday to Monday from 09:00-17:00.

Job description

CK Group - Science, Clinical and Technical

CK Group is recruiting for a Lab Technician to join a pharmaceutical company at their Wokingham site on a contract basis until the end of January 2026.

Salary: £13.30 per hour PAYE

Shifts: Thursday – Monday, 09:00-17:00 (including bank holidays)

Lab Technician Role:
  1. Work safely in a laboratory, maintaining excellent housekeeping while following safety, environment, and risk management systems.
  2. Follow quality procedures to meet relevant quality standards.
  3. Prepare for laboratory tasks using appropriate scientific techniques, procedures, and methods.
  4. Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Use specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration when required.
Your Background:
  • Knowledge of GLP/GMP guidelines.
  • An A-level or degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work shifts, including bank holidays.
