Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Head Chef to join a Michelin-starred restaurant in North Yorkshire. Located in the countryside, the kitchen champions sustainability, seasonal British produce, and a dedicated brigade.

You'll lead the kitchen, develop menus, manage stock and training, and work five days from Wednesday to Sunday across straight shifts. The role offers a competitive £40-44k salary plus tips, bonus, and pension, with staff meals and parking.

Qualifications

• Michelin-starred or high-level kitchen experience
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Passion for seasonal British produce and modern British cuisine
• Positive, professional and team-focused attitude
• High standards of food safety, cleanliness and attention to detail
• Desire to learn, develop and contribute to an ambitious culinary programme
• Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment with guest interaction

Responsibilities

• Support the owner in day-to-day kitchen management
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during prep and service
• Maintain exceptional food quality and consistency
• Work with premium seasonal ingredients from leading producers
• Assist with menu development and preservation projects
• Manage stock levels, ordering and deliveries
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation at all times
• Complete due diligence records, temperature logs and stock rotation procedures
• Support training and development of junior team members
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture
