Job description

At The FSE Group, exceptional insight enables capital to reach the UK businesses with the greatest potential. As our MI & Data Reporting Analyst, you will transform complex information into trusted intelligence that sharpens performance, informs investment decisions and gives leaders the confidence to act.

This is an influential role with genuine scope: you will own critical reporting cycles, advance Power BI as our principal MI platform and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver elegant, scalable reporting solutions.

Join an investor with purpose

FSE is an established, purpose-led investor providing debt and equity finance to exceptional high-growth businesses where traditional funding falls short.

Founded in 2002, we manage approximately £460 million of funds and have supported more than 1,000 businesses, investing around £300 million and helping leverage a further £780 million in private capital.

As a Community Interest Company, we reinvest our profits to support more SMEs. Your expertise will therefore contribute to something tangible: stronger businesses, greater innovation and sustainable job creation.

Your mandate
  • Own trusted MI: extract, validate and reconcile data across CRM, finance systems and Excel.
  • Develop Power BI: build robust datasets, models and dashboards that provide a consistent view of performance.
  • Deliver insight: translate fund, financial and operational data into clear reporting and recommendations.
  • Automate and improve: simplify reporting, reduce manual processes and strengthen data governance.
  • Partner across FSE: work with Finance, regional teams and technical colleagues to deliver change and support forecasts, valuations and audits.
The expertise you will bring

You will pair technical excellence with commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and the presence to make sophisticated analysis clear and compelling for senior decision-makers.

  • Advanced Power BI, Power Pivot and Excel skills, including data modelling and DAX.
  • Strong SQL capability and experience analysing complex datasets.
  • Experience delivering accurate MI, dashboards and controlled reporting cycles.
  • A track record of automating processes and improving reporting quality.
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience in fund management, financial reporting or regulated financial services is desirable, but strong transferable expertise is equally welcome.

A culture built on trust and impact

Join a collaborative, purpose-led organisation where expertise is respected, good judgement is trusted and ambitious ideas can become meaningful change. You will gain exposure across the business, influence senior stakeholders and develop your career while delivering measurable economic and social impact.

Inclusion at FSE

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to a respectful, inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute fully.
