Job summary

Bleckmann is hiring for a permanent, full-time Warehouse Operative to support our Leicestershire distribution centre. The role involves handling stock from receipt to dispatch, operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and maintaining safe working practices.

Shift patterns are 4 on, 4 off (06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00) with a £15.28 hourly rate and an annual £3,900 shift allowance. You’ll join a dynamic team focused on efficiency, safety, and quality, with competitive benefits and

Qualifications

• Valid MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and distribution centre processes.
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and changing workloads.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to take personal responsibility and ownership of tasks.
• Proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out warehouse duties in line with operational requirements and training received.
• Support the movement of stock through the distribution centre from goods receipt to dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Operate MHE safely and efficiently in line with site procedures.
• Complete all required MHE activities in accordance with company policies and safe systems of work.
• Conduct pre-use checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the site.
