Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced MHE Instructor to lead training and assessments in a busy warehouse environment. You will ensure operators are competent, safe and authorised to operate material handling equipment.

The role focuses on delivering high‑quality training, maintaining records and driving a strong safety culture across the operation. Previous experience in similar roles and up-to-date legislation knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an MHE/FLT instructor in a busy warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to assess and certify competency to industry standards.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MHE training, assessments and refresher training to new and existing staff.
• Train operators in the safe and correct use of warehouse equipment.
• Conduct practical and theoretical assessments aligned to standards.
• Maintain training records, certificates and competency documentation.
• Identify training needs across the operation and provide coaching.
