Job summary

Centric Talent is recruiting an MHE Trainer based in Bolton to develop and deliver forklift training across the site and potentially other locations. You will ensure operators are trained, certified and operate safely in line with company procedures and industry best practice.

The role requires flexibility for shifts and travel between sites, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and training materials. An in-date RTITB/ITSSAR licence is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct forklift training for new and existing employees (Counterbalance, Pivot Steer, Reach and High-Level Order Picker).
• Certify employees upon completion of training and maintain training records.
• Identify training needs with managers and supervisors.
• Monitor forklift safety regulations and company procedures.
• Stay updated on industry changes and address forklift-related concerns.
• Manage training materials and liaise with external maintenance as needed.
• Adapt training methods to different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain training documentation using Microsoft Office and training software.

Main Purpose of Job

This is an important role within the Ultra Finishing Warehouse team, responsible for the development and delivery of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) training across all site’s.The MHE Trainer will ensure all forklift operators are trained, certified and operating safely and in compliance with company procedures, safety regulations and industry best practice.With us having multiple sites and shifts, this will mean you will be required to travel for some training as well as going onto different shifts when training/refreshers are required.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Develop and conduct forklift training for both new and existing employees (Counterbalance, Pivot Steer, Reach and High-Level Order Picker).
• Certify employees upon completion of training and ensure training records are accurately maintained.
• Discuss with managers and supervisors to identify training needs across the operation.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with forklift safety regulations, company procedures and best practice.
• Stay up to date with industry changes and address all concerns, incidents and issues related to forklift operations.
• Manage, identify and report all forklift issues to Management and the external maintenance companies.
• Adapt training methods to suit various learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain training documentation and records using Microsoft Office and training software.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience in forklift operation and training (Counterbalance, Pivot Steer, Reach and High-Level Order Picker).
• Hold a current RTITB or ITSSAR Instructor’s Licence.
• Strong knowledge of forklift safety, compliance and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and training software.

Budget Responsibility (including £)

Purchase of training materials from allotted suppliers.

Responsible for Staff/Equipment

• MHE fleet training standards and associated training equipment and records.
