Impact & Engagement Officer

Working with the MFI Director, the Impact & Engagement Officer will play a key role in generating and demonstrating the measurable impact of the Institute. The role includes ensuring impact evaluation and reporting are embedded as strategic priorities, supporting the MFI in achieving its main objectives. Responsibilities include collaborating with research staff across the University, external partners, and diverse stakeholders (local, national, and international; across civic society, creative arts, law, social provision, political structures, campaigning, and academic spheres) to understand, evidence, and increase the social impact of their work. The officer will support initiatives and partnerships that enhance study, research, and enterprise opportunities for people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, communicate the work of the MFI, and contribute to securing University of Sanctuary status for Goldsmiths.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have significant experience supporting project teams and enhancing stakeholder engagement to increase impact through academic research. They will have experience in impact evaluation, including tracking and reporting. Strong project management and organizational skills are essential to manage multiple work streams and stakeholders. Experience working across sectors and an interest in social justice, refugees, and migration issues are highly desirable, with the ability to leverage this knowledge to maximize impact.
