Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking a hands-on Metrology Technician on a fixed-term contract to provide technical support across inspection, dimensional verification and OGP programming within a precision engineering environment. You'll help maintain inspection capacity, support production and quality teams, and ensure components are measured accurately and efficiently.

Candidates should be proficient with micrometers, calipers and OGP systems, and able to read drawings and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Experience in metrology, inspection or precision engineering.
• Proficient with OGP measurement systems.
• Able to read engineering drawings and tolerances (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional inspection using OGP systems and manual tools.
• Create and edit OGP measurement programs.
• Inspect components against drawings, specs and tolerances.
• Interpret GD&T requirements where applicable.
• Record and communicate inspection results and escalate non-conformances.
• Support Production, Quality and Engineering with measurement queries.
• Maintain repeatable inspection methods.
