Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby (other locations considered) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer: Business Metrologist for Aerospace Procurement. You will be the Technical Authority for Metrology and Calibration, defining policies and deploying best practice across 300 Manufacturing Engineers.

The role requires strategic metrology leadership, upskilling teams, leading 10 Measurement Leads, coaching suppliers, and solving complex measurement challenges while ensuring DfM for new definitions.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing with improvements.
• Strong GD&T understanding.
• Able to build cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive metrology strategy across Aerospace Procurement.
• Lead a team of 10 Measurement Leads from a technical standpoint.
• Drive supplier metrology knowledge improvement through coaching.
• Represent Aerospace Procurement on Metrology Global Council.
