Rolls-Royce Derby invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineer: Business Metrologist within Aerospace Procurement. You will act as Technical Authority for Metrology, defining policies and driving calibration, CMM and GD&T strategies across a 2,500-supplier footprint.

Lead a 10-person measurement lead team and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to drive metrology improvements. The role requires deep metrology knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder management

Competenze

• Professionally qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or another national equivalent).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of improvements.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to the role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organisational and follow-up skills.
• Understanding of component definition and verification requirements, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
• Proven ability to build trust and drive collaboration across technical and operational teams.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to solving dimensional challenges.
• Clear communicator with the gravitas to influence at all levels.
