Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Metrology Engineer to provide technical leadership for the lifecycle management of laboratory instrumentation within a regulated environment. You will calibrate, qualify, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve diverse laboratory equipment while partnering with operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in metrology, calibration, instrumentation engineering, or related functions within a regulated environment.
• Experience in qualification, calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong technical writing skills with procedures, protocols, investigations, and validation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead calibration, maintenance, qualification, and validation activities for laboratory instrumentation to ensure regulatory compliance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of new laboratory equipment and systems.
• Develop, review, and execute protocols, investigations, and technical reports.
• Ensure instrumentation remains validated through preventive maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Manage calibration schedules, maintenance records, qualification documentation, and equipment histories.
• Collaborate with laboratory, quality, and technical teams to support business objectives and maintain GxP compliance.
• Serve as a technical resource during audits and inspections.
• Provide training and mentorship on instrumentation best practices.
