Job summary

DNV has a Metocean Engineer / Oceanographer position based in the UK (Dorchester, Gloucester or Plymouth). You will deliver coastal, estuarine and nearshore monitoring projects, handling planning, deployment, data analysis and reporting with a mix of fieldwork and vessel operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with metocean instrumentation, a degree in a relevant field, and willingness to travel within the UK and Europe. Competitive salaries and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Metocean instrumentation experience is desirable.
• Hands-on fieldwork and deployment of metocean equipment.
• Degree-level qualification in a relevant science/engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test and maintain oceanographic equipment.
• Mobilise and deploy instrumentation in coastal and offshore environments.
• Undertake tidal current, wave and water quality monitoring surveys.
• Analyse data and prepare reports; support vessel operations and fieldwork.
