Job summary

IMSERV is seeking a skilled Metering Field Technician to join our Reading team. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electricity meters at customer sites in Reading, ensuring high standards of safety and accuracy.

You will diagnose faults, programme and test meters, inspect connections and assist with complex BMS systems. The role requires a valid UK driving licence and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• 24 months' experience installing single phase electric meters.
• Good knowledge of metering setups and equipment.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot metering equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and fix faults on-site and programme/read/test meters.
• Inspect connections and support with BMS system installations/maintenance.
• Complete job reports accurately and on time and manage van stock.
• Carry out vehicle compliance checks and coordinate with Work Management.
