Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering is seeking an assembler to support the manufacture of thermal insulation components such as ducts, pipes and blankets. You will work with power presses and automated lines to ensure components meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading technical documentation, cutting materials to templates, following SOPs and data sheets, and maintaining stock while upholding safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation, visual aids and data sheets.
• High attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
• Team player with punctual work habits.
• Flexible in working hours to support variable shift patterns and overtime when required.
• Experience in assembly and/or metallic insulation is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Operate power presses, fly press, guillotine and corrugator.
• Use etch machine to etch labels.
• Cut raw material to templates or measurements.
• Follow SOPs, TI’s, route cards and automated work instructions.
• Maintain stock control and 5S housekeeping in the work area.
• Complete production route cards and data sheets with accuracy.
• Aim for productivity targets and on-time delivery.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and PPE.

Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

Supporting the manufacture of thermal insulation components including ducts, pipes, blankets and stretch formed material to ensure they conform to customer requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Use of power presses/ fly press / Guillotine / Corrugator
• Use of etch machine to etch labels
• Cutting raw material to templates or measurements
• Following SOP’s/ Ti’s / Route cards
• Following an automated WTL
• Ensuring stock control
• Accurately interpret and complete production route cards (Technical Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Data Sheets).
• Maintain good housekeeping standards of the work area implementing Safety + 5 S methods (Sort, Set, Standardise, Shine, Sustain)
• Achieve company work & quality standards by applying your skills and knowledge and taking pride in your work
• Participate in team-based activities to meet productivity and on time delivery targets
• Work in line with the Company Values (Safety, Accountability, Respect & Trust, Integrity, Excellence, Customer Focus) and demonstrate the associated behaviours in your daily work
• Consistently follow Health, Safety & Environmental procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment provided
• Complete training as required and apply the learning in performing operations to demonstrate competence
• Perform all reasonable requests made by management

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

• Flexible in working hours to undertake variable shift patterns and support business needs by working overtime when required.

• Previous experience of working within an assembly environment and / or metallic insulations
• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantage
