Job summary

Clear Automotive in Darlington is seeking an experienced MET Technician / Mechanic / Strip Fitter from an accident repair background to join a respected team. You will remove and refit trims, panels and components and carry out stripping, dismantling and reassembly to pre-accident condition.

The role includes fault finding and diagnostics, ordering replacement parts, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in an accident repair background.
• Ability to remove/refit trims, panels and components on vehicles.
• Capability to perform fault finding and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Remove & refit mechanical and electrical trims / panels / components on vehicles
• Ensure stripping and rebuilding work is carried out to professional standards and quality checks
• Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel area
• Carrying out inspections, fault finding and diagnostic work
• Ordering replacement parts
• Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition
• Stripping and fitting components, bodywork and trim elements
• Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition
• Fault finding / Diagnostics
• Ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times
