Job summary

Clear Automotive Recruitment Solutions Limited is presenting an opportunity for an experienced MET Technician / Mechanic / Strip & Fitter to join a renowned accident repair centre in Darlington. The role involves removing and refitting trims, diagnosing faults, and restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition.

The position offers a salary up to £50,000 plus a monthly bonus up to £850, with additional Wagestream wage access and enhanced sick pay, pension, and a group bonus paid monthly.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician / Mechanic / Strip & Fitter in accident repair.
• ATA MET Technician certification or equivalent recognised qualification.

Responsibilities

• Remove & refit mechanical and electrical trims / panels / components on vehicles.
• Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel area.
• Carrying out inspections, fault finding and diagnostic work.
• Ordering replacement parts.
• Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition.
