Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced MET Technician in Dunmow, Essex. The role covers mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on accident-damaged vehicles, with a structured Monday to Friday pattern and an attractive OTE of £60,000+ DOE.

Basic salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000+ DOE. Panel Beating skills are advantageous, and a professional accident repair environment awaits a skilled technician eager to develop further.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in a professional bodyshop.
• Apprenticeship or Level 3 in Vehicle M.E.& Trim (NVQ/IMI/SVQ/ATA).
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, interior, exterior, and trim components.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults where required.
• Using Panel Beating skills to support body repair as needed.
• Working safely and to manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
• Collaborating with Bodyshop colleagues to maintain repair flow.
