Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a qualified MET Technician in Dunmow to perform mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on accident-damaged vehicles. This role offers a strong basic salary and an attractive OTE, with a stable Monday to Friday schedule.

Applicants should have MET experience, a relevant Level 3 qualification, and a valid UK driving licence. A multi-skilled background including panel beating is advantageous for progression within the workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in a professional bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, interior, exterior and trim components.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work safely following manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
