AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in St Albans is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will remove, refit and replace mechanical, electrical and trim components during vehicle repairs under manufacturer procedures.

Two weekday patterns are offered, with shifts 6:00–4:00 or 7:00–5:00. The base salary is £50,000–£55,000 with an OTE of £70,000, depending on experience, and you will work to high-quality repair standards.

Formación

• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim.
• NVQ/IMI/SVQ/VRQ/ATA or equivalent qualifications accepted.
• Previous MET Technician or related automotive repair experience.
• Able to remove, refit and align mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Good understanding of vehicle systems and fitting procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Carrying out strip-down and rebuild work to support vehicle repair processes.
• Identifying damaged components and reporting any additional work required.
• Working with other technicians to ensure repairs progress efficiently.
• Ensuring components are correctly fitted and aligned.
• Following manufacturer repair procedures and relevant safety requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy and workshop safety.
