Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Huntingdon is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a busy accident repair centre. You will carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to high standards within a professional bodyshop environment, with opportunities for career development.

We are looking for 3+ years of MET experience and a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim systems. IMI accreditation is desirable, and a commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as an MET Technician in an automotive bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
• IMI accreditation is desirable.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Remove, refit and replace mechanical, electrical and trim components on damaged vehicles.
• Follow manufacturer guidance and approved repair methods.
• Dismantle and reassemble vehicles to support the repair process.
• Identify additional damage and report changes to the repair estimate or parts requirements.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Complete repairs efficiently within agreed timescales.
• Collaborate with the bodyshop team to ensure repairs progress smoothly.

• Ensure all work meets the required quality and safety standards.
• Complete repairs efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure repairs progress smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an MET Technician within an automotive bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
• IMI accreditation is desirable.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A professional and reliable approach, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
