Job Title: MET Technician

Location: Sutton Coldfield, B75

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) + Team Bonus

Full Time and Permanent: Monday to Friday – 7.30am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5.30pm (40 hours a week) – no weekends

Our client is an independent Accident Repair Bodyshop with a state of the art multi million pound facility.

They are now looking for an MET stripper Fitter for their accident repair bodyshop in Sutton Coldfield.

About the Job

As an experienced MET Technician, you will be responsible for:

· Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs

· Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop

· Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work

· Ordering replacement parts

· Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition

About You

You must be able to:

· Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales

· Work skillfully and safely under pressure

· Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification

· Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision

· Be flexible in your approach

· Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind

· You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience as an MET Technician in an Accident Repair Bodyshop.

Our client are ideally looking for candidates who are ATA or Level 3 Qualified in MET but they will also consider Time Served MET Technicians.
