Job summary

Thales seeks an Industrial Information Systems Engineer to support MES development, implementation, and maintenance across UK sites. You will capture requirements, translate them into technical specs, and assist with deployment and ongoing support for MES users, ensuring effective operation and continual improvement of MES solutions within UK ICC standards.

Essential experience includes MES/industrial IT, deployment, integration, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on lean practices

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing systems, MES, or industrial IT.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is desirable.
• Understanding of total supply chain disciplines (Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Delivery, Supplier Quality Assurance, Logistics/Delivery).
• Desirable: experience in defence manufacturing, IoT architectures & industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and communicate MES requirements with the Product Owner and site stakeholders.
• Translate operational needs into technical specifications and solution definitions.
• Support deployment, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of MES across UK sites.
• Assist with validation, user stories, test cases, and documentation.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance and incident management for MES users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of MES solutions and deployment processes.
