Job summary
Colchester Institute is seeking a MES Curriculum Manager to lead the MES curriculum area, manage staff, drive quality improvements and ensure high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement. You will oversee curriculum delivery, resource planning and staff development, while supporting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety policies.
The role includes standing in for the Area Head when required and organising timetables and resources to optimise staff
Qualifications
- Proven leadership with staff management and performance development.
- Experience driving quality improvement in a curriculum area.
- Experience in curriculum development and promotional activities.
- Ability to develop learning and assessment materials.
- Experience inspiring learners during delivery.
- Industry experience in Plumbing, Electrical Installations or Renewable Energy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the MES curriculum area and staff.
- Oversee timetables, rooms and registers; ensure staff utilisation.
- Lead internal quality assurance in line with awarding bodies.
- Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, equality and inclusion policies.
- Assist Area Head with marketing, recruitment and retention initiatives.
