Middlemore are leading a retained search with a boutique advisory firm who are seeking an experienced M&A professional, who is ready to take the helm and shape the future of a fast-growing advisory firm. This is your chance to step into a senior leadership role where your expertise will drive high-impact deals, mentor rising talent, and influence strategy at the highest level. This opportunity will has a clear succession planning track to MD / Partner.

The role:

• End-to-End Deal Execution: Lead end-to-end transactions, from deal origination to closing, for ambitious clients in the TMT sector
• Shape the Business: Take ownership of firm-building initiatives, drive process improvements, and help define a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture.
• Mentor & Inspire: Build and lead a talented team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Thought Leadership: Represent the firm at industry events, contribute to market insights, and play a pivotal role in business development.

What You'll Do

• Originate and execute mid-market M&A transactions (£10m–£100m deal values)
• Build and maintain C-suite and board-level relationships
• Lead financial and commercial due diligence, valuations, and negotiations
• Oversee marketing, outreach, bidder engagement, and due diligence processes
• Mentor associates and analysts, ensuring quality and professional development
• Contribute to firm strategy, recruitment, and training
• Champion a culture of entrepreneurship, accountability, and enjoyment

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years’ experience in corporate finance/M&A at a leading advisory firm or investment bank
• Proven track record in the TMT sector
• Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and negotiation skills
