Job summary

Challenger Sportswear & Lifestyle Brand in Manchester is seeking a Merchandising Manager to lead the end-to-end merchandising strategy across online and wholesale channels. You will develop the team and shape the function to support rapid growth, balancing commercial rigour with creative product thinking.

You'll own critical path, production timelines and partner with Buying and Production/Sourcing to inform range and stock decisions, delivering confident recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a merchandising leadership role.
• Strong understanding of own-brand product and production timelines.
• Experience across online/D2C and wholesale channels is advantageous.
• Ability to develop and grow a small merchandising team.
• Commercially sharp with strong data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end merchandising strategy across online and wholesale channels.
• Lead and develop a small merchandising team.
• Drive sales, stock and intake planning with production timelines in mind.
• Collaborate with Buying and Production/Sourcing to inform range decisions.
• Analyse trade across channels and translate insights into recommendations for leadership.
• Manage markdown, promotions and stock to protect margin and maximise sell-through.
• Build relationships with wholesale partners to align stock commitments with business plans.
• Shape how the merchandising function evolves as the brand scales.
