Job summary

The Perfume Shop is hiring an Apprentice Trainee Assistant Merchandiser to begin a commercial retail career with on-the-job guidance. You’ll learn to work with brands and suppliers, plan stock, review performance and help ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time.

Over an 18‑month fixed term, you’ll build confidence using Excel, Microsoft 365 and Copilot while working toward your apprenticeship qualification, supported by a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Interest in merchandising or retail careers.
• Willingness to learn through apprenticeship.
• Attention to detail and numeracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with IT basics and Excel.
• Proactive and organised, able to seek support and follow tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support Merchandiser and teams with brands and suppliers.
• Track orders, deliveries and stock; keep data clear.
• Learn to plan order quantities and manage stock.
• Produce sales and supplier information; analyze promotions and best sellers.
• Support weekly trade reviews; identify stock gaps and trends.
• Maintain trackers and logs using Excel and Copilot.
