Job description

About the Role:

TALA, known for activewear that keeps up with busy lifestyles, has been on a rocket ship since its founding in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley. Powered by a highly engaged, largely organic social community, we’ve evolved into a digital‑first, multichannel women’s athleisure brand with a sophisticated growth and retention engine. In 2025, we accelerated our physical retail expansion with the opening of two London stores, Carnaby Street and Westfield White City, marking a major step in our long‑term brand and community strategy.

We are looking for a BAA to join our product team. It’s an amazing opportunity for an established BAA to work across multiple product categories, inclusive of Apparel and Non Apparel. You will report directly to the Junior Buyer and work closely with the Buying Manager, Design, Garment Technology, Merchandising and Marketing.

Tasks

What you’ll be doing:

Data Management & Purchase Orders

  • Maintain accurate, consistent, and up-to-date product and stock data across all systems and master records — including the range plan, Shopify, the order management system, and the accounting system — ensuring information stays aligned across every platform at all times
  • Allocate SKUs and barcodes and update the accounting system in good time
  • Raise Purchase Orders (new and repeat) in line with the range plan and sizing documents
  • Input and maintain orders in the delivery schedule, flagging any date changes promptly
  • Track shipments and intake into the business, flagging any delays or risks

Retail Stores Allocation

  • Manage stock allocation to Carnaby and White City stores in line with sales performance, size curves, and space/capacity
  • Process store-to-store and store-to-warehouse transfers, keeping records accurate and up to date
  • Monitor store stock levels and replenish core and best-selling lines in good time to minimise stockouts
  • Trade stock reactively around the business — beyond planned allocation — to chase sell-through opportunities and respond to in-season performance
  • Work with the retail team to understand in-store sell-through and feed this into allocation and replenishment decisions
  • Support with store openings
  • Support end-of-season consolidation and markdown transfers between stores and warehouse

Reporting and Trade

  • Help produce trade reports and work with the Merchandiser to identify opportunities and mitigate risk
  • Update Line Cards on core lines and review with the Merchandiser
  • Update and maintain the delivery schedule, communicating changes weekly to the business
  • Carry out sizing analysis and monitor size curves by style, using sell-through and stock data to inform buy quantities and allocation splits, and flag any sizing risks or imbalances to the Merchandiser
  • Own best and worst seller analysis, identifying trends and flagging actions to the Merchandiser
  • Own returns analysis, tracking return rates and reasons by product/style to inform range and buying decisions
  • Assist the Merchandiser with seasonal hindsight analysis, pulling together sales, stock, and intake data to inform future range and buying decisions
  • Support the Merchandiser with sign-off packs and documentation for new season range and buy approval
  • Any ad hoc analysis required by the business

Website

  • Support the Digital Content Coordinator with ensuring all new products are set up on the online store in good time, with accurate information, for planned launches — and in the pre-order system where necessary
  • Carry out routine housekeeping of the online store: archiving discontinued styles, and maintaining product collections so they're logically ordered and bestsellers are easy to find
  • Maintain multi-currency price lists and action seasonal price changes when needed
  • Use trade reports to propose updates and changes to the website to improve trade

Other

  • Build excellent relationships with suppliers, and be first port of call for order queries
  • Work closely with Marketing to provide accurate, up-to-date product information for campaigns and launches, and be first point of contact for product and delivery queries — proactively flagging any changes that could affect planned launches
  • Build strong working relationships with the retail store teams to support smooth stock flow and communication
Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Be super organised, able to prioritise, and use initiative
  • Be numerical, with excellent attention to detail, and take pride in keeping systems and data accurate
  • Have an analytical and commercially driven mindset
  • Be comfortable working with large data sets and navigating Excel and spreadsheets confidently
  • Be comfortable working in a startup environment — working lean and quickly, hands‑on, willing to get stuck in, and equally happy working autonomously or collaboratively
  • Experience working with Shopify would be beneficial
Benefits

What we can offer:

  • 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays
  • Very generous employee discount after probation period
  • Nominated Friends & Family Discount
  • Clothing allowance spending gift
  • Class Pass or Gym Flex membership
  • Health Shield
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity pay
  • Charity fundraising match of up to £1,000

About us:

TALA is an activewear brand built to actively solve problems without creating new ones for people, the planet, or anyone else. Every collection prioritises functionality and thoughtful design, combining premium fabrics with multi-way versatility and flattering fits that deliver maximum impact with minimal effort. Each piece is crafted with attention to detail, ensuring women can look and feel their best with ease.

When founder Grace Beverley shifted from fast fashion to more sustainable options in her everyday clothing, she found a host of responsibly made options in every category other than activewear. Founding TALA in 2019, the proud female‑led brand is on a mission to make consciously made active and off‑duty styles accessible and inclusive without sacrificing performance or fit.
