Job summary

Smiths News is seeking a Morrisons Books Merchandiser in Doncaster for a flexible, part-time, zero-hour contract. The role focuses on making in-store book displays visually appealing, fully stocked, and aligned to client expectations, with all calls completed before 12:00pm and an average of 5–20 hours per week.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle; travel time and mileage are payable where eligible, with possible location allowance.

• Able to work flexibly with 5–20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Stock Replenishment & Display: Move stock from the warehouse to the shop floor, organise shelves, and ensure products are fully replenished and presented to a high standard.
• Planogram Compliance: Accurately implement planograms and visual briefs to ensure all displays meet required layouts and standards.
• Promotional Execution: Set up promotional materials, price labels, and POS displays to support campaigns and drive sales.
• Reporting & Communication: Use a company device or mobile app to access briefs, record activity, upload photos, and provide feedback to client teams.
• Relationship Building: Build positive working relationships with store managers and colleagues to ensure smooth and effective in-store activity.

Morrisons Books Merchandiser – Doncaster
Flexible, part time contract

Pay Rate – £14.24 Per hour (includes Holiday Pay)

Travel time and mileage are payable subject to eligibility

Plus: Location Allowance if applicable

Full UK Driving licence plus use of vehicle required.

We offer an average of 5-20 hours per week (not guaranteed)

Working Pattern:

• Mondays (including Bank Holidays)
• Thursdays (selected stores)
• All calls to be completed before 12:00pm

Contract Type: Flexible, part-time (zero-hour)

About the Role

As a Books Merchandiser, you will play a key role in ensuring in-store book displays are visually appealing, fully stocked, and aligned to client expectations. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail, organisation, and strong communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Replenishment & Display

Previous merchandising experience is beneficial but not essential. More importantly, you will be:

• Based within 15 miles of the advertised area
