Job summary

CPM UK is seeking a Merchandiser for the Swansea area. You will visit high street, grocery, and convenience stores to implement planograms, set up POS materials, and refresh displays. Owning a car is essential for local travel, with flexible hours and fixed visits on Tue, Thu & Sat.

Ideal candidates have retail or merchandising experience and are comfortable working independently to build strong in-store relationships. Training and ongoing support provided by the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience in retail or merchandising.
• Experience in Boots, department stores, or premium beauty chains is desirable.
• Available Monday to Sunday; fixed visits Tue, Thu and Sat.
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• Confident talking to store staff and building in-store relationships.
• Use your own car for transporting promotional materials or small displays.
• Report via app using phone/tablet with photos.

Responsibilities

• Visit a mix of high street, grocery, and convenience stores to complete merchandising tasks and audits.
• Navigate fixtures (gondolas, bays, shelving) and set up POS materials.
• Merchandise products in line with planograms.
• Maximise shelf space and keep displays looking engaging.
• Top up products and negotiate extra display space when possible.
• Some stock moving and lifting may be involved.

Job Description

We are looking for Merchandisers in the Swansea area. Approx 4 - 6 hours per week* (However likely to increase during busy periods) £15.07 p/h PAYE including holiday pay. Start within 2 weeks after onboarding and training with long-term, ongoing work available. Flexible working across Monday to Sunday with some fixed days - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ideal experience would be in retail or merchandising - health & beauty would be beneficial - supporting new launches, refreshes, or promotional activity.

Use of a car is essential.

Ideal location: Swansea, United Kingdom, SA1

Territory covering: Swansea (you will be required to cover stores within 10 miles of here) and surrounding

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visit a mix of high street, grocery, and convenience stores to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and set up point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Confidently navigating fixtures (e.g. gondolas, bays, shelving)
• Merchandise products in line with agreed planograms.
• Make sure as much stock as possible is out on shelves to help drive sales and keep displays looking great.
• Arrange and top up products on shelves and displays so they’re eye-catching and easy for customers to find.
• Where possible, negotiate extra display space to help boost sales.
• Some stock moving and lifting may be involved from time to time.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally, experience in retail or merchandising.
• Experience in retailers such as Boots, department stores, or premium beauty chains is desirable.
• Someone who is available Monday to Sunday. We do have fixed visits to be completed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• Someone reliable, adaptable, and happy working independently.
• Confident talking to store staff and building good in-store relationships.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Use your own car, as you may need to carry promotional materials or small displays (these may be delivered and stored to your home).
• Use of a phone or tablet to complete reporting on our app — this includes sending clear photos and sharing useful feedback.
