Job summary

Rise Resourcing is recruiting a Merchandiser for a retailer based in Leeds. The role is office-based and ideal for a Junior Merchandiser ready to progress into a Merchandiser position.

You will collaborate with buying to drive strategy for future seasons, build strong relationships across internal teams, and maximise sales and margins while ensuring stock targets are met. Regular review of trading reports and stock management will be essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Retail Merchandising environment is required (Junior Merchandiser level).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure with proven problem-solving skills.
• Strong numeracy and ability to analyse information from various sources.
• Commercially aware and business-focused.
• Able to manage and motivate a team to achieve goals.
• Excellent understanding of MS Office products, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

I am currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join a retailer based in Leeds. This role would be perfect for a Junior Merchandiser who is ready to move into a Merchandiser role.

Some of your key responsibilities will include;

• Working collaboratively with buying to drive strategy for future seasons collections.
• Building relationships with internal teams to continuously develop & optimise product lines.
• Maximising both Sales & margins ensuring stock requirement achieved
• Reviewing daily & weekly trading reports to reduce stock risks
• Responsibility for stock management to increase sales & reduce obsolete stock.
• Dealing & resolving any escalated central merchandise team queries
• Collating figures and updating the senior Management team regularly
• Monitoring key market & competitor activity

Key requirement for the role;
