Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Merchandising leader to drive full-price growth in the UK and oversee seasonal buying for stores and concessions. You will partner with Digital, Retail and central teams to optimize performance and profitability across online and physical channels.

You will lead a high-performing UK merchandising team with an entrepreneurial mindset, applying data-driven insights to maximise commercial results and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven merchandising and buying experience at Merchandiser level.
• Strong knowledge of UK retail and digital landscape.
• Autonomous with entrepreneurial flair.
• Track record of improving profitability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical skills to translate data into insights.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Familiarity with Prima or Business Objects is a plus.

Overview

Reporting to the Head of Merchandising (UK & EU).

Responsibilities

• Drive full-price growth within the UK market.
• Ensure seamless customer experience across all full price channels.
• Contribute to an increase in store and online performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with Digital, Retail and central Buying and Merchandising teams.
• Carry out quarterly seasonal buying for UK stores and concession partners.
• Seasonal forecasting of Core products.
• Support seasonal and yearly budgeting and reforecasting process.
• Responsible for UK Full Price stock management.
• Oversee product launches for the UK FP market.
• Weekly review of performance and KPIs.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Present merchandising updates in weekly trade meetings.
• Drive integration of online and offline channels.
• Complete regular store visits and build strong relationships with area managers and store managers.
• Monitor sales performance through quantitative analyses and qualitative feedback.
• Undertake detailed analyses to understand business opportunities and risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with concession partners.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing UK merchandising team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements

• Previous Buying and Merchandising experience at Merchandiser level.
• Extensive knowledge of the UK Retail and Digital landscape.
• Ability to work autonomously with an entrepreneurial spirit and creative flair.
• A proven track record of driving commercial performance and profitability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical with an ability to digest and distil data into actionable insights.
• Personable and engaging with an ability to develop high functioning relationships with key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Prima and Business Objects desirable but not essential.
